The cylinder cover is cast by cast iron or aluminum alloy. It is the installation matrix of the valve mechanism. It is also the seal cover of the cylinder. The cylinder cover bears the mechanical load caused by the gas force and fastening the cylinder head bolts, and also bears the high heat load due to the contact with the high temperature gas. In order to ensure a good seal of the cylinder, the cylinder cover can neither be damaged nor deformed. The cylinder head should have sufficient strength and stiffness for this purpose. In order to make the temperature distribution of the cylinder cover as uniform as possible, avoid the hot crack between the inlet and the exhaust valve seat, so that the cylinder cover should be cooled well.
